Well Bo there is a hitch. I bought an entire center section with the newest version Powertraxx in it. The center has a 4.56 superior gearset as well.

It will be awhile before I can afford a bigger lift and tires. If we stuck the 14 in and added the 4.56, that truck would have extremly low gearing with 33" tires. Not only that but I'd need to regear the D44 from 3.73 to 4.56. I have the correct housing for the lower gears but I'd need to get the ring and pinion.

I really appreciate your generous offer to help me out. Just not quite set up for the switch yet.

Not a problem let me know when your ready for some help. I will be there. Also keep in mine I can get a discount at alot of places like 4WP and get you a good deal on some killer 35 mud tires. Also E-bay is your freind on building a budget wheeler. Most of the parts on my K5 are used.

Will do, as long as you accept some type of compensation for your time. I'll buy you and the wife dinner or something.

If you run across a decent set of used 37's or a used 6" full spring lift for the longbed, let me know. If they are cheap enough I might be able to work some magic. I think I'm going to go with Harley's build ideas, a little more lift to compensate for the wheelbase.

I'll keep an eye out on e-bay. I check from time to time.

Lord Stinky said he'd help me with the bumper mods and sliders. Gotta do something nice for him too.

Bo, I've often thought about making a sticker for my truck that says something like, "this truck is made with recycled parts" with the recycling logo.

What in the heck is that all about? 1000 used pair of underwear??

I told Fred I could only imagine what kind of devious behavior you were up to now. I am afraid to ask.

I'm not that bad, I had to fix something for him and I just couldn't resist having a little fun. At your expense of course.

That's just called "initial product testing." It's just a natural phase of building things :D

Ha, that's just called "highly enjoyable product testing." It's just a natural phase of being 21 :D
