My boss took all of us skydiving yesterday, along with a couple of other people we do business with. It was in Greensburg, IN. It was my first time and will definitely not be my last. I loved it! The landing was a little harder than most people's because I was having trouble getting my long ass legs up in the air and in struggling to do so, I was unconsciously pulling on the guide wires and making the chute try to lift up again and go faster :rotfl:. So we hit buttocks first going about 20 and slid to a stop. It didn't really hurt though, just gave me a nice jolt. A couple pics:

that is cool i see them now.

i used to work at a place that had an ilgal skydiveing place right next to it, his run way was an ashfalt road going back into the feald and they did skydiveing, aparently they had a mid colision years back and the faa gave them some transponder to tunr on when flying so it dosent happin again.

i did see a guy stuck up in some wires one day lol

We were up to about 11,000 or 12,000 feet. We did a free fall for about a minute and then floated for another 5-7. The shorts are just some Old Navy shorts I think. We had the option of wearing a jump suit and when they told me there was no advantage to wearing one I said no way because it was 95 degrees out.

Speaking of landsmashing, what ever happened to Landsmasher? He posted last about six months ago. Wasn't he into skydiving too?

That looks great. i've always wanted to try it. Just about the time i git ready to, and convinced my wife that it was a good (or at least not bad) idea, a good friend of mine who is a jump master came in a little hard. he broke a femur and his back a little. He is fine now, but because of the impression he left in the ground, his friends took to calling him "Johnny divot".

    My brother in law ....

My brother in law always wanted to skydive too--he took a course at a small airport and when he did his jump, his instructor landed on top of him!--ended up with a broken leg!..lucky he wasn't more seriously hurt!...I just read on my AOL "news" that a lady died on her first jump yesterday.. :eek1: ...

I hate RIDING on an airplane!--NO WAY would I jump out of one, unless of course if it were on fire, and going to crash anyway!--even then,I'd probably wait until it was too close to the ground!..

Well I felt great Saturday all day after the jump, but I think I forked my back up pretty good, or bruised my kidneys because I can hardly walk today. I had to call in sick. Of course I also have a 102* fever and flu symptoms so that makes it even worse. Not sure what happened, I might have gotten sick from swimming in the lake Friday and the jump made it worse. I hit pretty damn hard on my butt so that might have jarred something or jammed my spine. Either way, I'll get over it. It was definitely worth it! :saweet:

The guy in the blue helmet has a huge watch! :eek1:

It looks like you had a blast. I want to go skydiving so bad, but can't find any friends who are willing to go too. I don't think it would be as enjoyable going by myself. :o
