I thought it was going to be a little while more until the new HDs were out, but I saw one yesterday. Still not impressed with the new GMT900 bodies. I think the new avalanche front looks better than the trucks. The rear wheel width looks narrower than the half tons too.

Those big ass chrome bumper corners look way out of place. Piss poor styling in my book.......

Yes, they have strayed from their roots to be like everyone else.

I saw a GMC 2500HD yesterday at Walmart. I don't know if the bumpers are smaller or what, but damn it looked good to me.

GVWR is down almost 1,000 lbs. 9,200 for the 2500HD GMC I am configuring at the moment(just to see what you can get). My dad's is 10,500 on his 04 Chevy 2500HD.

I do like the look of the GMC better than the Chevy. If they would just get rid of that hideous bumper.

GMC doesn't list a manual gearbox, but they also don't list the Duramax diesel option, so its up in the air I guess. I know they were talking about phasing out manual transmissions, sad. But I also know I have seen Duramax 2500HDs(new body style) already. They have the Duramax badge up on the bulge of the hood like an old Firebird or Camaro.

Yes, the dually I'd seen had that, and I think a Duramax/Allison combo badge?

The front bumpers and the rear fenders look odd
I like the fronts on the GMC's a little better, normally its the other way around.

I like the headlights and hood, the ext cab window looks strange, a little to small and wrapped into the body.

I do really like the GMC crew cabs, I think the beds on the GMC's are different than the chevy's, I like the GMC better....

Just something not right about this front end and the rear bedsides...

GVWR is not tow rating. The tow rating of the 2500HD is over 15,000 lbs.

The highest GVWR on the F150(which is only on the 2wd with HD suspension package) is 8100lbs.

According, to GMC.com the 1500 GMC is rated to tow the same 10,500 as the F150.
