diesel oil change question-filler tube location-i sound dumb

    oook so i bought a diesel a few months ago and need to change my oil now... i have everything and am ready to drain but im not sure where to add oil to... i know there is a filler tube, but am not sure where-haha

    help me out so next time i wont look so retarded.

    Diesels usually fill into a valve cover OR gearcover. I've never had a chev diesel, but its a cap....round, about 2"-3" diameter.

    theres no breather hole on the valve cover and idk what the gearcover is

    help me out guys?

    This is a 6.5L, but the oil fill is in the same place on a 6.2L

    My Goodness me! Wrong credit! It's Demon44's. Such a shocking color I was temporarily blinded!



    Is it a 6.2 or 6.5? If it's a 6.5 with a manual IP do you have an optical sensor on the timing gear cover? I'm building a 6.5, manual IP and trying to figure out how to hook up a tach. Thought maybe the optical sensor would give me a signal I could use.:confused:

    Your build is a lot cleaner than mine:bow::bow:

    That's ok, the new pic shows enough of the cover I can see there isn't an optical sensor so I got my answer anyway:D

    Colby if your pink dispenser is discharging anything with the consistancy of oil get yourself to a doctor! Emergency Room if it looks like used oil!
