What is the diffrence between 67-72 & 73-87 springs. Why dosn't all the lift companys sell lift kits for 67-72. Is there a big diffrence?

They are shorter for a 67-72 application.

Boy did this just bit me in the #@$ ! Seam that 67 to 72 springs are about 3 inches shorter though the 73 and up springs fit! Some lift places sell 67 to 91 others sell 67 to 72 and 73 to 91. I used the longer sping by moving the front hanger forward about 2 3/4 inches.

According to my Rancho catalog here, the 67-72 springs are 43.57" long and the 73-91 are 46.90" long. These are Ranchos spring measurements. Other lift kit companies may be little shorter or longer. So, play the springs around 43.5" and 47" for those years.

I am running 73 and up listing in the rear of mine. They are SuperLift and are 52" eye to eye. The key is to take a mesurement from eye to eye then eye to center bolt, both ways. Then start looking at the specs on all the makes and modles then go from there. I duno why some first gens are different than others, but it seams like GM did use differnt sizes. Mabie cuz mine was built late in 72????? Duno???
