What is better to run in a gov-loc, with or without additive and why?

Gov lock is a friction type, IIRC. Therefore , use a Gl5 for hypoid and limited slips. THey already include an additive. If you need more, they sell bottles of additive as well. Certain brands do not include additives, such as Mobil 1 and Lucas Oils (they have diferent versions of GL5 compatible oils).

Let me rephrase the question. What are the pro's and or cons of not using the ls additive. I know what a gov loc is and what oil I should be using. At this time I am running some Mobil in it with the GM additive.
