I've read that with a th350C you can get a 8-10% increase in fuel. How do you tell one from the other. With the th350C what do you give up.

a turbo 350c....has a lock up converter,it was GMs early attempt for gas mileage....the switches were known for braking and then the converter is locked up all the time causing the tranny to go out.......due to excessive heat...it will all bolt up the same as a regular 350t...but it will have an extra plug on the side of it..that you would need to wire to a switch to make the converter lock up properly.....thats about all i know about that.....hope this helps

It used a K case, metall bell housing instead of a plastic one and had 2 braces bolted to that. I had one in my Jimmy, but the wire for the converter lock up came off, anyways it crapped out eventually and now there's a regular th350 in there.
