difference between np-205 and np208c?

    My got a message about an np208c forsale....but i have no idea what the difference is between it and a np-205... is there any?

    np205 is gear driven and made of cast iron. It is very strong, but very heavy. It has 2.0:1 low range. np208 is chain driven and made of aluminum, which means it is not as strong, but lighter. It has 2.6:1 low range.

    Thanks! I think I am going to buy an np205...my transfer case messed up a few weeks after my dad got it.
