I know the intakes and gaskets are a little different, but what about the head gaskets? Reason I'm asking is I have a couple sets of head gaskets from 86 and down, but noangel might be buying an 88 blazer with blown head gasket. I was wondering if I could just get away with using those head gaskets and just buying the intake gaskets. Does anyone know FOR SURE?

    Thanks in advance
    Chris

The head gaskets will work. If you can bolt a set of '96 and up Vortec heads on a 1972 block (what is on my Blazer), the head gaskets have to be the same.

Just make sure they're for the correct bore size and all SBC head gaskets are the same except for 400 SBCs which have the steam holes.
