Difference or same Ported vs. Vented

    title says it, looking at Treo's site it mentions there made for sealed, vented or bandpass

    know all the others...

    so is vented and ported the same?

    I think they're referring to vented as a traditional sealed box that plays into an attached, open-sided enclosure (think 5-sided box...)

    Typically used when you are trying to fit big speakers into a small rear decklid type install. Instead of mounting the speakers to the decklid area directly, you build the box in the trunk and have them fire into a "vent" that carries the sound up and out into the interior of the vehicle.......

    get or make a sealed box they are much better all arround and they take up less room. if you want a box that only bumps and will suck with rock music look at the jl bandpass box. its ontheir website, the one with the red interior and plexiglass that holds 2 subs. i know a guy with one and i have a sealed same subs but mine sound better his sounds louder.
