I like my Canon Powershot A75, step up to A85 and you have a great camera for $300

depends on what you want to use it for.....and the resolution you want. Do you have lil ones? They have lil digital camcorder/cameras in that price range....do you want something to slip into your pocket? Something that has a nice zoom (optical is better than digital for close ups....digital can get grainy)

I'd do a websearch, there are a ton of comparison websites out there...u just need to decide what options you want. For 500, you have quite a selection these days. Hope that helped... :dunno:

We just picked up a Kodak DX4530 5 MegaPixel with 3x optical zoom and 3x digital zoom, with their EasyShare docking station and rechargeable battery for $198 at Walmart. :xmas: It was a day-after-Thanksgiving special, so I don't know if you can still get 'em for that price. The same setup cost just under $400 at kodak.com. :eek1: It takes awesome pictures with incredible detail. :thumb:
