So I am in the market for a Digital Camera. I know that I will want somethign <3.2 megapix and that optical zoom is what is important. Anyone have one they like, or recomendations?

I really like my Sony MVC-FD75. I don't know a whole lot about cameras, but this one takes great pics and used a standard 3.5" floppy disc for a computer. (Don't know why they're called floppy disc becouse they're not floppy like the real old style ones.) My camera is very easy too use, and the zoom is like a 10x if I remember correctly. Are you joking? You suggest he spends $200 on something that takes .3 mp pics and uses a floppy disk? Do computers even have floppy drives anymore?

    Looks like digital zoom too

I can see it being handy if you have an assload of floppies, but buy a $20 card reader for a 3.5" bay and it's just as easy

Is that Sony a .3 Megapix camera? Isnt that pretty low resolution? like 1/3 of a megapixel.

That's just a link too Amazon. For refrence. I know you can find them cheaper. I've seen them go pretty cheap on Ebay. But yeah, I think the price on Amazon is alittle hogh, I bought mine 2 or 3 years ago for less then $200.00

I've used one of those for a while now. You can't get much detail on a picture on something as small as a floppy. My wifes parents came to visit and I think I used 25-30 floppys and then spent several days uploading poor quality pics. If you get a 3-4 megapixel camera for cheap $89-175 and buy a large capacity card you will be very happy. I bought a cheap 3.2mp camera for 49.00 and use it all the time and take it on the trail. It now has a BIG memory card so I have the image size turned up to max, that way I can enlarge the picture without losing detail. Better for photochop also.

All the pics I've posted that I've taken have been taken with that camera. I don't know a heck of alot about cameras, but I do know this one takes nice pics, and is very user friendly.

I've had several of the canon powershot models and have liked them quite a bit.

Increase your resolution. The pic looks fuzzy. The megapixle count and image quality are what drives the price. If you just want to take regular pics any digital camera will do that. I just bought one on ebay that will hold 20 pics and is as basic as you can get. 1.00 plus shipping. No screen, no zoom, no flash. 1" wide and 4.5" long. It's a POS, but it takes pics. Its just for goofin around. It's a "spycam" lol.

The 3.5 floppy is easy. Just pop it out of the camera and into the computer. Works for me.
