Ok, guys. Here's the deal. I ordered my CanBack top from CK5 over 7 weeks ago. I was promised by the folks at CanBack (very nice guys by the way) that I would get the top in 3 weeks. Well, I have called several times to get an update and have been told two times that it would ship the next day. Well, I called today and was told it would go out tomorrow(!) I mean, the folks there are friendly but I have to say that I am extremely disappointed that it has taken this long. My main gripe is had I been told the top would take 2 months to get to my house, I would have expected it in 2 months with no complaints. However, I was told 3 weeks and here I am with no top 7 weks later. I understand things happen sometimes but that is not much consolation when you are told to expect it more than once and you don't get it.

Did anyone else have this problem? I just thought I would let you guys know in case you are thinking about ordering a top from them--in other words, EXPECT TO WAIT. I think we would all expect to hear about each others' experiences when dealing with compaines. I hope the quality of the top makes up for the long turn-around time. [IMG]

Sorry to hear that, I think I got mine fairly fast but that was over a year and a half ago, I know they slow down a tad over the winter months so I guess that might be a good time to order. These tops are all hand made so it does take awhile but they should have told you 2 months if that is how long it is taking.

Thanks, Steve. It would have been completely cool with me if I was told it would take 2 months. I would have just put it out of my mind until then. But it just adds to the disappointment when you are promised things more than once and then come to find that isn't the case. Today I was told it would go out tomorrow but I really don't believe them anymore. Its just one of those things you have to put up with when building a project that is also your daily driver and only source of transportation, I guess. Oh well. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Yeah, I know what you mean, on another note that top is going to look awesome with the olive drab.

<font color=purple>The same thing happened to me with some wire wheels I ordered from a company called McClean Wire Wheel .......... I eventually got the order and it was wrong !! I highly suggest NOT using this company ! Anyway, I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience ! I'm sure it will be worth the wait and will be very nice quality ...... not like my situation !

Yep. In Caloi they are. I had mine in 3 weeks. I even told them to take their time since it was too cold out to install it. As they say "Good things come to those who wait". Enjoy it.

I suppose the only thing you could do is cancel your order, but that would be a shame... looks like the best quality and sturdiest soft top out there. I love the look of Steve's

Yeah, I would hate to cancel the order now. Especially since I sold my Kayline top just to get this one. I'm sure you guys know what it feels like to rush home from work just waiting to see if your new parts came in so you can dig into the K5 just to be let down when nothing got there.

Thanks to all you guys for your thoughts. I'll give you guys an update.

<font color=purple> I wish they would just tell when I'm going to see it and that way I won't be disappointed when it's not there after work day in and day out ! I know what you mean !
