Well guys and gals... I just made a quick run through the Car Craft summer Nationals here in St. Paul, MN. There are quite a few trucks (which I feel really shouldn't be in this show along w/ the stock 99 and 2000 2wd S-10's w/ a system... go to the db Drags) But saw a nice 86 or 87 pickup I have seen down at the local cruise spot. 39.5 swampers and perfect paint... well look under it and sure as heck... 10B's... well now I don't feel so bad about my D44/12B combo LOL. Well there were quite a few 4x4 Chevys there... all of them 10Bs... which I guess is ok. Saw a couple of nice lifted blazers too... but here is where my real disappointment starts. A real nice... not 100% clean, but nice enough late 70's yellow Blazer was cruis'n around... w/ a whicked cam... it idle like total crap... wtf? Then I saw another nice Blazer... late 70's... blcak... like 32's or 33's w/ a frick'n tunnel ram!!!!!! [IMG] WTF??? Why the heck do you need a dual carbed tunnel ram on a truck... DUMB!!!!!!!! Sorry had to vent... I try not to put anyone's rigs down while at the show, but man these two were hard to take. I hate poser wuss trucks!

BTW, not a Chevy, but there was a Dodge truck w/ 36" tires in the Burnout contest [IMG]! Too bad it hadn't been regeared and was a POS and didn't make any smoke [IMG]

Thats a kick in the b@lls if you enter a burnout contest and then don't even roll some smoke! [IMG] Look at all the posers this way: At least they leave all the good parts for us!

Yeah the kid was pretty embarassed, but at least it looked like that thing has wheeled... well that or got hit by a semi on the way there LOL [IMG]. I don't think Super Swampers are very good for burn outs though.

Jeff: You want pics LOL [IMG]. I say if you are gonna go that route at least cut a hole in the hood for a Hilborn scoop on top of a supercharger [IMG]. I'm going back tomarrow for much longer so hopefully will see these kids and say WTF? LOL. Then I'll tell em come here and learn how to build it up right [IMG].

Gotta say excellent pics Bry and it was cool hanging out this weekend. Too bad you missed some of the other rides that didn't come back for sunday [IMG]. There is also pics of the beatup Dodge that competed in the burnout contest along w/ pics of the steel plate after a 3 minute burnout by a 70 Challenger... the green one. I really like the dyno mpg, too bad the car is a POS. I was really surprised by the turnout of trucks there... a couple nice Blazers and a SWEET shortbox are in there too. One cool toy you have w/ the camera... I'll have to get one when I hit the lotto.

Yup, I know what you mean (continuation of my b!tching about Bloomsburg). I didn't see every vehicle at the Jamboree this past weekend, but the only Chevys with D60s under them were the K30s. I know alot of people are in it for the show, but if your going to sink that much money into a huge show truck, you might as well spend a little more on axles that will actually turn those 44s. In particular, there was a red Heep with atleast 44s (if not bigger) and he still had the tiny stock axles (Dana 30?). Oh well, to each his own.
