Just wondering, how expensive ot convert rear drums on stock 12 bolt to disc? Also, how much time does it take, roughly? Thanks.

Kit from TSM about $250 (rotors and brackets)
Remanufactured calipers about $160 + Core charge
Pair of hoses (optional) about $100
The joy of stopping sooner and saving you and your family from an accident ...priceless [IMG]

I haven't installed mine because my TSM kit is still on our bureaucratic (sp?) customs.

I did the disk swap on a 14B FF, and this thing is incredible. it stops better then my grand prix with 4 wheel disk breaks.

yesterday I had the person in front of my slam on her breaks all of a sudden, and the vehicle behind me was following a little too closesly (you could tell he didn't think I could stop very fast). let me tell ya what he came REALLY close to rear-ending me. you could tell he was really shook up because of how fast that thing cranked down, but thankfully nobody got hurt.

Good question. Putting in a Warn full floating axle kit and trying to decide if I want to go ahead and do the disc conversion now. I'll be checking prices tommorow. Stainless Steel Brakes has a kit that runs right at $700. Warn makes a braket to install with the full floater, then list out the individual parts. I'll let you know what I find out tommorow.

Okay, here's the parts prices from O'Reilly's (the little green men)
    E-brake Caddy calipers 99.99 each plus 35.00 core = 134.99 (x2) =269.98
    Rotors (88 -91 4X4 6-lug) 31.99 each (x2) =63.98
    Bracket's from Warn 105.00
    Total 438.96
Still have to find hoses and machine time for rotors.
I'm also doing the 12-bolt full floater axle conversion.

Do you, or does anyone, have a website for TSM?
