Dist number?

    Where would i find the number off the dist, need to replace the vacuum advance and need the number off dist but can't find it.

    if its an HEI distributor, from 1976-1989, then it's exactly the same for all chevy truck engines from V8 267 on up to 502. if you go into some generic store like Autozone, or Checker/kragen/schucks, and tell them what engine you have, then they can get you hooked up with the right part.

    Well i found the number. Mine is a 75, and I found out that there are 4 different vacuum advance canisters for my dist.
