For those going and for those who just want to see. Here is a link to Slickrock, it says upper trail 2, but its 9 that is slickrock. Looks to me like video shot at both trails. Either way, this is what you have to look forward to if it RAINS. Its not quite as bad dry. You need quicktime to view this.

One of my Buds from the club was up there this past weekend prerunning the trails for the Jeep Jamboree. He told me some of the trails are getting rough.
Upper 2 coming down is getting pretty tough. There has been more errosion and pretty good chance of taking some damage in the side. One place is catching jeeps in the side of the hard tops. He confirmed what Titanic had heard, 4 has gotten some errosion. My guy says it's about as tough as he has ever seen it. Say's it's a Jeep thing. The narrow Jeeps have created some bad deep ruts with big old holes that like tossing them into the walls. He's a full size guy himself and he said the full size trucks will probably have less problems and be able to stradle. Said the water crossing 6 is a little funky and just down from it is a wallowed out spot that gets you way off camber in a hole. He's not sure if it will be better for the fullsize trucks or not. One problem ffor the jeeps is it gets one front tire unloaded and the other three have lips they all have to climb at the same time. The extra wheel base may be the key. Might be able to stradle the owrst part with the extra width but if you fall in your probably going to put the body into a wall. If it rains he said it could be a major problem area.
Fains Fjord is back to it's old self! all the stuff that was packed in against the ledge last year is gone. Should be giving some trucks hell this year.
Looks like it's going to be fun.
Now the down side...I'm not looking like I'll be on 36's like I thought. That and no winch I will probably not be allowed to run 9. I'll play stupid and see if they notice my tire size or not.

I don't need no damn shop manual, I got a pornographic memory.

WTF, DUDE, whats UP. COME AWN, borrow the tires if ya have to!

I think Ken Braswell in our club has a set of 35" BFG's, let me try and contact him and see if he still has them.

It's a time and size thing. I do not think I can clear them without major work. I don't have the time to do the work before dixie. The guy I was going to buy them from may not have the time to get the replacement and he's going to Dixie also. I was supose to go talk with him last saturday and we were going to trial fit them but I didn't get my rear end problem fixed till Sunday. I am also not sure I like the price for the amount of wear on the tires.
This coming weekend I need to finish fixing up my Redneck camper so that I will have a place to sleep at Dixie so I may have to run my 32's.
I'm thinking of trying some offset pins on the front axle. it will let me push the front axle foward 3/4-1 inch and may be enough to solve most of my clearence problems. The rear is also going to be an issue because I need to get some wheel spacers or I may rip the inside sidewall out.
At this point with all the trouble I have had getting the 4.10's in I'm just thankfull I got the truck drivable. I'm starting to think I may just go to 33's. that will limit my breakage and I can run them without any more mods.

Grim, I have 5 33x12.50 on the '73 that you can borrow if you want. They are on 15x7s, so they should not give the inner fender problem. Let me know.

Well My 32's are proably as tall as those 33's you got. BFG 32's run close to size. I held them up to Kerrys 33 dunlops and there was only about 1/4 inch difference. I'll play stupid with the inspections. Hopefully the double locked will let me go on the ride and hell who knows...now that I'm not buying tires ( what I have is still good enough to run for another 6 mounts to a year) I might just have a nice shinny HS9500i hanging on the front end [IMG] I'll have to run that one buy the finance department tonight hehe.

If ya get the WARN hung up front I dont think they will have any problems with ya!

I have never had em look at my tires to confirm the size.
