Do 1/2 and 3/4 tons use the same front axles?

I have a 91 Burb with a 10 bolt front axle. I know this is about the same as a Dana 44 and that the next step up is a Dana 60, BUT, is there a smaller front axle or do 1/2 tons use 10 bolts with 6 lug hubs?

    Thanks,

    Eric M.

1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks, subs, blazers all use the same front axle just they have different lug counts. They either use a D44 or 10 bolt (depending on year) with either the 6 or 8 lug counts. The next step is the D60.

Your 91 will have axles with 30 splines instead of the earlier 28 spline shafts.
