I had to take out my radiator so I could take it to the shop to repair a leak. I'm wondering about that tranny cooler built into my radiator.
-I have an external tranny cooler that is mounted on the front side of my engine radiator.
-I also have an internal tranny cooler in the engine radiator.
-Currently my tanny is using both the internal cooler in the radiator and the external one.

    Do I need both???

I was thinking since I'm running hot coolant through my engine radiator it probably doesn't do as good a job as an external radiator by itself.

    Please give me your opinion.

it does help...id keep it...ATF actually gets hotter than coolant, so the "hot" coolant does cool it down some.

You can NOT get rid of the radiator part - it is essential for proper temps for cold weather.

I do not know about the TH350 but the extra cooler is a must for the 700 trannies.

    Keep 'em both. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
