1/2 day on wednesday and thrs and fri off
1 day last week and 1 day the week before that???
I dunno but it just seems like kids are hardly in school anymore. Mabey I just feel left out?
I don't remember even getting a "snow" day.
I seem to remember freezing my azz off and the bus sliding past the stop.
Now days if 3 flakes hit the ground....
Realy though folks bitch about the school system and WTF.
Everytime I turn around they have 2 days off.
How the hell can they learn anything when they are never there?
It is bad enough when the school systems are crowding more and more kids in a class and they don't have time to do what they need to do.
Now lets cut 3 months out of the school year for whatever reason and people wonder what is wrong with kids these days.
I took on my shift so I could work a part time job while the ol lady was at work.
Good thing I did or we would be paying someone to watch the boys for when they are supposed to be in friggin school.
I am going to start looking into home schooling.
Christ on a cart if they are at home during the week more than at school then why even bother with sending them?
It's bad enough that I see all the 20 something crowd with no direction and no motivation.
There is no way in hell that my boys are gonna be suckin on momma's teat at 22 and still living at home trying to figure out what they are going to do with their lives.

That put quite a burdon on my folks, hell between the both we just clear 50K this year. We just make it on that.
Adding it up.. working more hrs for cut rate pay to just get them educated is not happenin.
I'll just stay at home and teach em.
Christ they already know how to read a tape measure.
They didn't learn that in school.

Schools are funded for a certain amount of days a year for kids to attend. Having days off is nothing more then funding issues usually. Another reason too teachers are required to have a certain amount of hours of training for certain subjects. Usually you get to pick off a list of things you want to learn, then the required things. Those days are when they train, those are days off for the kids. More then likely it's one of the two issues. Add up how actual school days they have, and check the states requirements for how many they should have. They should meet it or exceed it. If they are not, then you need to report them to your local school board.

I live next to 3 schools on the same block. Kids are coming and going all damn day long.... I've been wondering the same thing.

BTW, they didn't build girls like that when I went to school! /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

my last year of school, i think i was there maybe 60% of the time..and my last year of highschool (as a sophomore) i didnt ever go to half my classes...so school is a waste of time for the most part because children get so much education elsewhere..they didnt learn to look up porn on the internet at school, now did they?

schools have gone down the drain. In my area the little kids can't even play tag because it involves "singling out kids" and therefore is a bad thing.

    yeah! me too
we got a 150x170' shop with 5 10k lifts and i'd guess atleast 200k in tools and supplies. this does not include our autobody shop complete with frame machine, and full paint booth. another shop entirely for welding, an aircraft mechanic shop and two carpentry shops /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif oh, we have an alignment lift too /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

No, not at my highschool. All county high school students that take AP or vocational classes take them at what we called the "Career Center" so, 8 times the funding. . . lifts aren't but 2 years old. i'm so lucky /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

all I remember about dodgeball in school was I was fast, I could jump, and I enjoyed it cause I was usually one of the last ones. The kid who jumped like as high as me always won.
