Most poeple probably know about this but just in case you don't. Telemakers will be required to check this list before calling, so put you #'s on is an stop receiving stupid phone calls..... Now only if we could get something for spam emails.

I just heard a story on the radio this morning. Seems there was a guy getting up to 3 calls a day from a local auto glass company even though his number was supposed to be on a 'no-call' list.

He got so frustrated he turned the tables on them...called the shop over 100 times in a single day to let them know he didn't have a cracked windshield. They finally stopped calling him and removed his number from the list /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    I often enjoy this one...

    *phone rings*
    "....hello..."
    "is MR. ??? there ?..."
"yeah, hold on.... i'll get him..."
*set phone down.... and go about your life.*

try to beat your previous record of keeping them on the phone... my personal best is 4 minutes... /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
ask Blazinaire about that one.... /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

There are two major flaws with the do not call list. First off the list is a matter of public record and ANYBODY can view it (care to guess where this is gonna lead?). Secondaly, the phone companies have up to three months from the time your name is on the list to harrass the hail out of you (guess where they got your number? see #1). Now if you change you phone number it starts all over again. Typical gov't clusterflop and waste of our tax $$.
