We have an New England Football League here, it's pretty cool, my brother plays on the Monadnock Mauraders, their home field is about 30 minutes from here.. They play all over NE, etc... it's pretty cool, most of the guys are in their late 20's-30's I believe......

I'm bringing a group of kids from our Rec Dept on a trip to a home game this season....a lot of kids that live around here, have never left this town, so visiting a "city" and seeing grown men trash eachother on the field is going to be incredible for them. The team does a lot with the United Way, Special Olympics etc...

You all got big boy football?

Local team up here is the Rapid City Red Dawgs. Personally I don't see how they don't go broke with all the adds on TV for them. I know they're spending about 3 times as much on the TV adds then they make in ticket sales.

Local TV stations generaly sponsor the arena or semipro teams in their city, which includes commercials promoting the team. I believe KOTA does it for the Red Dogs (pussies /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif ), our local ABC affiliate does it for the Nebraska Storm, the local in Kearney does it for the Diesel and so on.

Ya know, we could play Gulf Wars II right here on CK5.

Ya could lobby old Koffi Annan and his merry band of fools up in that there UN to pass resolution after resolution forbidding me from reminding you how bad Nebraska will resemble a Hoover come the fall. Of course I'll defy each and every one of them. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

did you retire cause your wrasslin gig got so big??

I really am impressed with my brothers team....they do TONS of stuff for the community, and even more at stuff targeted at kids, I'm trying right now to get them to come to my Rec Center and do a meet and greet with the kids this summer, and hopefully don some pads, and show the kids some action. We're also going to take a bus trip to at least 1 of their home games.....The kids should really enjoy that!
