Does a Dodge Dana 60 front have a narrower track than the Chevy D60 front? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Is the only difference the spring perches?

Yes, the Dodge axle is about 2" narrower. The spring perches on a Dodge are .5 inch wider. The difference is in the short side axleshaft. It's about 15" on a Dodge, and about 17" on a GM.

    Yep. Thanks dude. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
I realized tonight the short side tube is 2" longer on a Chevy. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I'm in the process of installing one right now. A-Tron is machining the bushings for me to move the springs out so I don't have to pry them apart. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

OK, forgive me if I'm being dense.

The spring pad distance is 32.5" on a Dodge and 32" on a Chevy. The WMS to WMS on a Dodge is ~67.5" on a Dodge and 69.5" on a Chevy.

You say the Dodge axle is 15" on the short side (passenger side) and 17" on the Chevy. Does that mean the axle sticks out the same as a Chevy on the driver's side and in 2" inside normal on the passenger side? Or am I missing something?

    No its centered for both.
The Dodge has a 2.5" wide spring perch mount. The chevy has a 3" wide perch mount. The location of the perch built in the housing is shifted 1" to the left as well as the perch on the long tube, because the short tube side axle is 2" longer: if you want to compare it to a DODGE D60.
