    If a 1984 Silverado swb pickup came with the same 28 spline 10-bolt rear end as the K5/Jimmy's?

    I would think that it woud be the same diff...

    yes, it is the same diff as long as if is 4wd the 2wd diffs are a bit narrower, but only by a little bit, the 2wd will bolt up, but then you have a 5 bolt pattern unless you change axle shafts and then that is where the difference come into play, but I believe a 4wd shaft is only maybe a 1/4 inch longer or so, so it could still work, maybe?????
