I was wondering about the SEC front bumper and if anyone can review it. The one I am refering to can be seen here.

I am interested in this bumper or if someone knows of a manufacturer making a similar one. I plan on mounting my Warn 8274 into it. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Rolling this post back to the top.

Okay I've been looking around the web and so far all I can find close to this bumper is a warn classic. But I've heard they are a POS?????? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

The warn classic is a POS. Mine tore the ends off pretty quick and then it rattled. The only part that is good is the center section. It still holds the winch down low though. I ended up trashing mine and going with one from 4x4Iron. About the same price and 10 times as usefull.

chevyfumes, Thanks for the link but I already read Steve Fox's review on the S.E.C bumper. I was hoping to get some further response from other members that may have one.

Butch with 4x4 Iron says he can build the S.E.C. bumper no problen and should hopefully hear from him on a price. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Also the guy who builds the SEC bumpers has health issues and isn't turning out too many and he's hard to get ahold of.... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

    Look familar?

Same exact bumper as in the pic above. I was going to do a review but there was some issues with the front and rear so it never happened. I had to hack my grill and cut my bottom lip to get the bumper to fit. The bumper was never designed to fit a 12k winch.

If Tim needs measurments, he can take them off mine. I don't live that far from him. Love his rear bumper.

WTF? I maybe can see having to notch the front frame stubs alittle to get this bumper to fit but I cant understand having to hack up my grille! I would have sent the bumper back or something. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Otherwise are you happy with the design or would you change something?

Besides cutting the grill and lower grill support, I'm happy with the design. If I had a 9500lb winch, it would of fit fine. I wouldn't mind having some protection on the sides to protect the fenders.

    Shawn,

Is the bumper installed on your K5 shown in the picture under your name. I cant tell cause the pic is so small. If so do you have this pic full size somewhere?
