I need a pic of a 73-75 upper door frame where it meets the top of the windshield frame, prefer a pic with the door cap (moulding) off if you have one.

I think this is what you meant. I took a few more so you can see where some other cuts might need to be made.

OK, that first pick is good, looks like it does not get cut straight accross. Is that a stock 73-75 door? looks like the part by the door handle is a little high? Thanks for taking the pics. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

No, the guy that had it before me used pickup doors and cut them.

It really would help to have a door to measure. The cut is at a goofy angle.

See if Denver75's still got his rolled body around where you can get some measurments.

I had an original door off a 74, and the upper cut was in line with the vent window frame, not at an angle like that. The handle side was lower too. Unfortunately the door went with the 74 when I sold it./forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Since when do you run doors anyways?

The orignal door on my friends 75 is cut at two different angles like in the first pic,the angles matched perfevtly with the piller cover i bought and the one on his truck.

I had a '73 blazer that I put doors off of an '84 truck on.The cut above the vent looks alright but the cut above the handle is high. The cut above the handle follows the window line straight across. The window tracks are different as is the window it self. The track bolts just above the handle and window has an extra piece of metal that rides in the track to help secure it.
Without getting the right parts you will have to cut the door like is shown.

Can anyone confirm that this is the same cut on a stock 73-75? [IMG]

I can confirm that the molding piece that goes there fits just fine and it doesn't leak (at least at that location /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif). I can measure it tomorrow if you need more exact specs. And yes, the cut on the door is too high, and the retarted P.O. decided to hack a small piece of the top off instead of fixing the cut on the door, so now my top is no good if I try to use it with the correct doors /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

That's about all I can tell you though /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif, I'm sure it's not exactly the same as the stock doors, so you'd probably be better off having someone else check.
