<font color="blue">The front output flange on a 83 NP205 is the same as the one on an NP208?

<font color="blue">OK how can I get a 208 shaft to work with my 71 case? I dont have time to have one custom made and I really dont want to dip into the tow rig piggy bank either

the flat round thing with the 4 holes in it? are you asking if the bolt pattern to the flange is different, or if the spline is different?

<font color="blue">Bolt pattern. I need to know if I can use a 700R4/NP208 shaft (shortened of course) on a spare 205 I have, so I can go wheelin this sunday. I can swap a t-case faster than the driveline shop can make me a driveshaft, and I have access to a few 208 ft shafts.

    <font color="blue">Update

The 208 shaft does bolt up to the 205 flange.
