I have and 85 K5 and my kit came with one. It was just a metal rod about as big around as a pencil and about three inches long that I welded onto the existing shifter rod.

Only thing I had to get additional for mine was some different bolts for the very back mounts. But this is due to interference caused by my trailer hitch platform. If I didn't have that, I am sure that there would have been nothing else I would have needed.

You'll have to do some custom mods to your fan shroud cause when you lift the body, the motor stays. Some people have just trimmed the lower lip of the shroud to clear the fan, what i did was cut the shroud in half and extended it using a piece of sheet metal...i used a sheet of stainless steel.

Tex is right, you may need new bolts for the rear-most body mounts. I too had to purchase longer bolts to make it work. Other than that all the necessary parts come with the kit including the shift linkage extension. I haven't welded mine up yet, but it'd help if I had a welder.
