Ok, I got my slidders from Sulli and they are sweet!
I'm putting them on and I know the nerf bars need to go but I was
thinking that during the winter I could keep the nerf bars on to make it easy to get in.
Now the question, does this look dumb??

Slidders alone, nerfs off for wheeling.

Before, ready for damage....a...wait, they already have a dent from Holy Cross.
    So what do you think?

IMAHO I don't like the nerf bars at all. Those Sulli sliders are bad ass and make your truck look good. Ditch the nerf bars. If you need help getting in during the winter, carry a step ladder with you[IMG]

Tsk, Tsk Tsk. Didn't we spend enough time trying to rip those nerf bars off this year?

Alright, I'm getting a good over all idea but just remember that
the slidders are going away and will NOT be on the truck during wheelin anyway. It's tough sometimes to get the wife to take my truck instead of hers and if she can't get in, it will only make it worse although I can always help her[IMG][IMG].
Just remember, the nerf bar idea is only for street use.
As for eveyone that wants more pictures, here is Shawns installation link toyboxoffroad.com
    He is working on it.
    THANKS MIKE!!!!!! Your the man......
and Thanks to the guys at toybox, you need to keep these slidders on the market.

I think it looks good w/out the nerf bars. But hey--don't worry too much about what we think--it's your rig. If it were me, I wouldn't keep the nerf bars, though.

Hey guys. Yea Mike is going to have to stop making them for awhile. So Toybox is shipping out 2 sets next week to customers and we are getting the fixtures from Mike this week latest next. And we will be in production here. We are looking into a few changes to the design and also offering them Powder Coated. I will keep anyone informed if you are interested.

Man, are those nerfs for a K5? They stick out really far! I say ditch the nerfs and stick with the sliders alone!

I have had my nerfs on for 8 years and have been glad many times. They work as a step to get in and out as well as an easy way to reach what is on top. They serve a completely different purpose than sliders (IMO). They also do a pretty decent job of protecting against side impacts while on the road. Twice I have been side swiped and the nerfs kept the other vehicle from my trucks body. Because they stick out so far, they also do a nice job of keeping brush and small trees and the like off the body offroad. But, its your truck. Don't be influenced by others' opinions. We don't have to live with your wife!

But, if you get rid of them and still need a method of getting in for her, build a small, simple rope ladder with wooden dowels as rungs. Fasten it to the seat mounting bolts. It can lay under the seat when not in use or flipped out for easy climbing in! Works for me!

if the sliders are staying on, couldn't you put some grip tape on top of the outer most rail, and your little wifey could just use that as a step? or is it alot different than it looks?
what if those outriggers were angled down slightly, and made a tad bit wider?
