My neighbor offered to sell me his '78 GM C-30 2wd flatbed. It has a rebuilt 283 and a 465 tranny. It runs good, but I would have to replace the bent rear springs, a busted shock mount in the rear, and the cab has a ton of rust in the floor, and a taco-ed hood . He's asking $500.

Does $500 sound fair for a truck that needs that much work? /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif

Oh yeah, it also has hydroboost brakes.

If I do get it, I plan on getting it reliable and using it as a tow rig for my Blazer. That way I can go to the fun places that are several hours away, beat the [naughty word] out of my Blazer, and not have to worry about getting my blazer home. You never know, by the time I get the c-30 ready, I may acually need a tow rig! /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

I don't think I'll get him much lower on the price, I talked him down from $700.

Be careful wouldn't want you to have two broken down rigs /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
