Don\'t know much about hubs and axles, help please

If I have manual hubs and a 208 Tcase could I run a spool in the front diff? I really don't know anything about the way hubs and all work so I am wondering if this would be fine? its my daily driver and since I only use 4wd in mud and trails I would think a spool would be a nice traction upgrade if it was disengaged on road.

It will freewheel on the roads, but if there are any turns on the trails that you run a spool might not be the best option. If you have to turn very sharp at all then you'll need ot jump out and unlock a hub every time.

It's also hard on the axles and axlejoints if there's much traction too. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
