I did this yesterday when I was using an imact swivel and socket on my impact wrench. The thing on the wrench to hold sockets on is broken, so they can fling off real easy when the imact is turning.

I was only about a foot from the impact wrench and the swivel and socket flew off when I was under the rear of the 'Burb. It hit me in the head, then bounce off and landed a few feet in front of the truck.

SAFETY FIRST! I'm glad it didn't hit my eye... I would probably be blind now :yikes: Now there is something else I need safety glasses for.

Sounds like you need that o-ring and retainer ring that goes on it...I've done this before. Definitely does not feel very good...

It usually isn't that noticeable... must be something with the flash? It is kinda freaky lookin though.

Yep, it needs the metal clip and o-ring. It a Crapsman impact and I went to Sears Hardware to get the parts and they gave me some 800 number to call and have the parts shipped to me. [extreme sarcasm] Excellent customer service as always at Sears [/extreme sarcasm]

I wear the safety glasses a lot more than I ever used to wear them too... I want to be able to see my kids when they're here. I'm starting to think I will need them for eveything though :doah:
