i am getting ready to install my doubler, so i put the 203 & the doubler together. once the 203, & doubler was bolted up tight it was/is very hard to turn by hand when it is in low range only. it feels like the gear i removed from the part of the 203 i chunked is binding on the gear it meshes with in the range box part. the gears don't have any burs either.

basically i am asking if this is normal (which i don't think it is) & if not what should i do? also i didn't notice it before i took the 203 apart.

thanks for your help in advance.

This is a pretty broad question, there's a lot of things to check out:
    Is everything lubed good?
Did something get stick in the idler shaft? Does it spin smoothly?
Does the shaft assembly spin freely in the adapter housing?
Does the low gear spin on the shaft freely?
Does the shaft fit on the input gear properly? (a little tight is OK, a lot tight isn't)
Does the input spin the idler gear easily?
Are you trying to turn the 205 also? That will add a lot of resistance.
Let me know if you don't find something obvious, or if you do find something obvious.
