    This may sound like a dumb question, but i'd rather ask than stay dumb. what is a doubler everyone keeps talikng about? thanks

    69k5 stock except 33's lift soon to come. right after the begging.

    It is when you mate a range case of a NP203 between your transmission and 205 'case. That way you get the option of running both cases in low range which multiplies your crawl ratio greatly. An excellent upgrade for any off roader.

    There's a lot to try to explain about the Doubler, it usually takes a few stabs at it to fully understand all the options.
    Easy way to think about it is:
    trans - factory adapter - NP203 - Doubler kit - 32 spline 205

    Everything else is just details on getting the right parts to hook it all up.
    I think you're right about the Doubler in Louisiana, you'd probably be better off investing in bigger tires and more power for slingin mud only.
