I took a trail ride with another guy and our kids yesterday. It was a great drive despite some sheet metal damage for me. I woke up this morning to run an errand and my power steering is gone and I'm losing fluid all over my driveway. I took the hoses off and they're fine. A little old and greasy but solid. I took the pump off. Same thing, lumpy gravy all over but solid. I removed the steering gear box and the whole front "dome" is cracked in half!!!! What's up with that? Any ideas? I couldn't have hit it, it's too well protected. The gear box moves well. It's not bound up like a broken gear or anything. It drove home fine too. I'm going nuts here! I have some pics below too, but not of the gear box.

That jeep thing? Yah I understand it....... Like my Blazer? http://community.webshots.com/user/blazerk5

I dig free lifetime replacement parts! I got a brand new rebuilt steering box. It's installed and I'm ready to hit the road again.
