Looks like the draglink I just got from you is a good 2" too long. I am going to have a local shop shorten it up for me about 3" and retap the side that gets cut shorter. What size of tap should I tell them? Thanks.

You may be able to just cut some off each side. Measure the thread depth and you'll know for sure. We do thread them deep so this is possible.
How did we end up 2" too long? Did you change something? Did we mess up and send the wrong one? We're usually within an inch if not right on.

Regardless, you may not be able to drill and tap it deeper unless you cut off all the thread since it has to be drilled out. If you try to drill deeper, you'll probably mess up the existing threads. It may be possible if you're careful but maybe it's easier to just get with us and get the right draglink length? Let us know.
