Drive gear teeth on a NP208 on a 86k5

    looking for some info on the drive teeth so I can find out what driven gear i need after bigger tires

    I'd say conservatively there are about 30 different drive/driven gear combo's for your year vehicle, so you'll have to figure out the correct ratio for yourself unfortunately...speedometer cable needs to turn 1000RPM's per mile.

    Unfortunately the speedometer gear section in the '85/86 parts manual doesn't specifically list 4WD applications vs. 2wd, and I have *no* clue whether 700R4 and NP208 drive/driven speedometer gears are the same pieces.
