is a short bed driveshaft long enough to fill the void left by a six inch lift?it would be cheaper to get a shaft from the scrap yard than to have mine lenghtened. the bed is not on my truck and the shaft is only in about 1 1/2 in.the bed is more like a pre runner's,so it doesn't weigh much. thanks daryl /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gifto /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

Yes, a shortbed driveshaft is going to be like 10" longer and would have to be shortened. I have a shortbed with a 10 spline 4 speed/205 and my rear shaft is about 52" long IIRC.
