Do I need to use shims on the rear axle with a 4 inch shackle flip and stock rear springs? Where can I get shims?

I believe you will need to correct that angle, but I don't know where to get those shims.

i just put the flip on my 89 and the angle were fine, no vibes. the flip gives you some angle because the rear spring is lower but of course every truck is different. i would try it first and then get a angle finder if you are getting vibes to find the right degree shim

Sapper's got the answer, you may not need the shims, give it a shot. Typically the flip sets the angle up right for a CV joint but it's not terrible for a ujointed shaft either.
