Well I just wanted to let everybody know who has tried to help me figure out my vibration problem, IT IS FIXED!!!!!!!!![IMG] Now for the interesting part and why I say driveshaft angles mean nothing. My angles are way off and I now have very little vibration which I think is tires. Otherwize it rides like a Caddy on steriods now. Tomorrow I am going to raise the t case back up a little and see if the vibration comes back after that. Now how it sits the T case is down almost 2" and I have the shackel flip and 1" zero rate and no shims. Special thanks to Rene since he got me pointed in the right direction[IMG] and that was to not use the conventional method for doing the angles. When the working angles were within 1 degree of each other, the working angle at the pinion was 1 degree lower then the t case, that is when the vibration was the worst. So thanks for all the help because it was a good learning experience.

Funny how an offhand remark can get the wheels turning...I'm glad the vibe is almost gone now![IMG]

It is just about gone and like I said I think it is the lugs on the tires since it is only at slow speed. It was nice to do 55 and not have my teeth chatter.[IMG]

so what angles are working for you?
1 deg is way to close to account for leaf spring wrap up, 4-6 deg is the numbers I have heard tossed about. though all are merely speculation

I am not sure what the angles are now since I have not put the angle finder on it since I set them correctly. Might put it on to check them sometime but probably not untill I do the trans and t case swap.

1 thing I did notice is it looks like I am set up for a CV shaft. The pinion is damn near the same angle as the driveshaft.

That's exactly how my angles are...my pinion looks like it's set up for a CV shaft, except I don't have a CV shaft. Works for me and I have no driveshaft related vibes.

Thats so bizarre that what worked is totally defiant of what the standard rule is!![IMG]
Oh well, soemone will always find a better way. Glad to hear you got it straigtened out.

Still hoping the GOV'T will ban the use of loud stereos with RAP music. [IMG]

Not sure why it works but it does. Can't say it is a better way but for me it works. I wanted to mess with it today but I am feeling a little under the weather. I want to raise the t case and see how far up I can go before it gets bad again.
