The wife and I had to attend a wedding in Vancouver, BC, this weekend, so we rented a car ahead of time and picked it up at the airport. I asked if I could upgrade from the Cavalier or whatever piece of crap we had originally rented, and somehow I scored a brand new Caddy CTS for $12 more a day!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

Heated leather seats, 8-speaker system, sunroof, enough power to send shivers up your spine- the list goes on and on. Let's just say that getting home was depressing- life's too short to drive a Hyundai....... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

So, I'm out at Home Depot with my daughter picking up some baseboard...and I come home to find some Caddy parked across my driveway. I thought there must be some Real Estate jack-ass around somewhere...instead it was the King of Bling and his lovely wife. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

So is the love affair with the Hyundai over now Paul?

BTW, great seeing you and Kim again!! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I don't think it was ever a love affair- maybe more like a crush. Yeah, the Caddy rocked and all, but I'm a little ways away from being able to afford a $50K car right now. Ask me how much I know about the CTS since I drove one- I even phoned a couple of dealers to see if they had any in their used inventory. I found one for $39K, but the last thing I need is a $500/month payment..... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

BTW, Kim and I realized somewhere around Burnaby that we forgot to get pics. I guess it will have to wait until next time, eh?

Thanks for the hospitality, brother!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I thought of pic's while you were here, but quickly realized my camera was well out of reach in our computer room in behind all the furniture /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif

Next time for sure though. Any troubles with my direction for getting back? Is the Patullo bridge narrow enough for you? /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

9 foot wide lanes, no center divider...built in 1937 by some incredibly shortsighted dumb-ass with a narrow car. It's a real riot in the dark, in the rain, in heavy traffic. It's especially fun with a big semi in the lane next to you. I've actually lost a side view mirror to oncoming traffic once...that gets your attention in a hurry!

    Nice Caddy. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I got to drive to Florida and back twice in the last three weeks (650 miles ea. way) in a 2000 Volvo V70 Cross Country.

Here's a list of most of the options that came with it:

Metallic Emerald Green w/Tan Leather Interior
2.4L Inline 5 cyl. Turbo DOHC 20V Fuel Injected 190 hp Engine
Automatic 4-Speed Transmission w/Viscous Coupling All Wheel Drive System
    Antilock Brakes
    Automatic Load Leveling
    Traction Control System
    15 inch Alloy Wheels
    Alarm System
    100 watt AM/FM/Cassette/CD Audio System
Automatic Climate Control (2 Zone) - Driver and Passenger
Fog Lights - Front and Rear
    Universal Garage Door Opener
    Headlight Washers / Wipers
    Heated Front Seats
    Power Heated Mirrors
    Keyless Entry System
    Leather Seats
    Locking Differential
    Luggage Rack
    3 Position Memory Drivers Seat
    Power Moonroof
    Power Passenger Seat
    Trip Computer

It runs like a scalded dog !!! Did I mention it's my daily driver?
