    Nice looking car, we rent c220's (I thnk) on the weekends for roadtrips sometimes not quite they same as what you drove but they cruise well around 100

    beautiful car. An aquaintance of mine has the AMG version. Awesome but out of my price range!!!!!

    What year was it?

    Thought about renting one for a weekend, but according to the details I could find, all the 500's are automatics (or whatever their fancy auto system is) and I wasn't interested in that. Curious what the one you drove was?

    i thought tiptronic shifting, but it didn't work

    Yeah I don't understand that...I'd think some 7 or 8 speed manual would be the top of the line now, but apparently not. The "lesser" SLK's are manuals though. :(

    +/- on the auto's I've driven have all been that stupid up/down "manual" shifting, but the stuff (that I've driven thus far) is nowhere near as fast changing gears as the manual.
