well i got it home(temporarily)(sp).what a nerve wracking ride.i havent got a sender for the temp yet,but i winged it anyhow.well the motor itself is bad a$$.the combo of the 3.08s,2500 stall, and 38s leaves a lot to be desired!!next week the 4.88s will be put in,in the mean time itll sit.the motor sounds killer at idle, and will wrap up from idle to ?? almost instantaneously!(sp)wow!it rides out better than any other big truck ive been in yet.lost a wheel weight so at about 30ish it starts to hop.i got the weight i just forgot to put it back on.(dooh!!)ive gotta say the 38 swampers are probably the smoothest tire ive experienced.ill have to wait till the gears (and the weight is back on)for a highway speed test.hopefully itll ride good at hi speeds too.puresanity has tested it also and approves(shoulda seen the grin on her face)hahaha!

Glad to finally hear you got that beast on the road! Are you running the TSL's or the Radials now, I forgot. Let me know how it works out with the gearing.

Get some gears then go thrash the 10B's LOL! That should be one bad@ss Beast when you get done. Decide on the paint yet? I still give my vote to hot pink LMAO [IMG]... how can a truck on 38's not be manly... even if it's pink LOL [IMG]

oh i dont xpect the 10 bolt to live long.thats why i only bought 1 set of gears.the 14 will be in before too long, and i figured that if the 10 survives ill put the gears in the rear to the front.and get gears for the 14.altho i think i scored a completely rebuilt d44 3/4 ton front, all new hub to hub.oh yea the paint issue,go read what i posted on my wifes thread.tho i didnt mean to sound like a jerk it may seem that way.at 1 point i considered magenta pearl(hot pink)for my jeep just for shock value[IMG]but deceided the little hick town i live in wasnt ready for that.hehe!so i went w/ lime green.hard to miss 7ft plus and lime green.

Actually I missed that last post... just went and found it. NO I hear ya 100%... pulling everything would be a huge pain! Why rip it all apart again... pearl white is nice.. shows mud well [IMG]. You could also probably do some cool custom work on it, graphics or pinstripes, etc. I kinda like Shawn's paint... kinda simple, but really cool too. (Does look like a lot of work).

Re:UPDATE: drove the blazer today for the 1st time

well its back to the shop tomorrow.it was a fun few days tho.ive got some gremlins in my trans.the guy who built it for me is meeting me at my dads shop after work tomorrow.well take it for a ride then drop the pan.while its back in ill just leave it till the gears get done.ive also got to pull the x-case,seems theres a seal on the input side of it i didnt know it had,so when i filled the trans it went to the x-case.when i pulled the plug to fill it fluid came out.i know it was dry when i installed it,but i figured the 2 shared fluid.tranny guy says uh uh.no big deal tho.the trans prob is it starts in 3rd gear and never comes out.in 3rd all the time.(bummer)it takes off ok, its just not what it should be.i honestly thot it was the gears until last nite.when i realized i never heard/felt it shift.oh well live an learn.itll be back together soon.but better! i just hope i dont have to drop the trans again, its no big deal,i just dont wanna!!!
