I hooked up my DSL today and I'm very happy with it. I was one of the first subscribers to the local cable ISP about five years ago. It was great at first, but the more customers that signed up, the slower it got. Especially in the evenings. Finally, I had had enough and signed up for DSL through Sprint. Not even a comparison. Should have done this a lot sooner. Happy, boy now!

I've been on cable here for the last 4 1/2 years and have found the speed has dropped a ton. I'm seriously considering DSL at this point...

in my area, Cable is like 10 times faster then DSL.

i had subscribe to the SBC/Yahoo DSL a few years back, it was so horrible, i called and complained about it a minimum 2 days a week, and they still wouldnt end the 1 year contract early.

    Comcast cable, i am above a T1.

I have DSL at home, its substantially slower then the Cable I have at school. But the population at school is way less. That could have something to do with it. Think we will be trying Cable internet out when we move to our new house soon.

I had Bell South DSL for a few years and switched to Comcast cable a few months ago. The cable is much faster than DSL here. The reason i switched was Bell South's customer (no)service sucked so bad, I just had enough. Pretty bad when you have to go to a cable company to get an improvement in service. Plus, now I can use VOIP w/o any issues.
