Are there any vendors that make a Cat back or complete DUAL exhaust for the 86 year K5's

I've seen some K5's with Duals but none of the muffler shops here can do it - good shops in Key West are far and few between.

How about Flowmaster - I've never seen any kits in the catalogs.

    Thanks for any ideas.

Dynomax makes header dual kits and manifold dual kits for '73-'87s. I have the header dual kit but I've also installed the manifold duals before too.

They're very high quality, they don't rust like other pipe I've used. They're cheap too, $100 for the header duals, $115 for the manifold duals.

Just add two mufflers and 4 clamps. Everything else is included. Worth every penny.

And for a K5 it's a straight bolt-on, NO cutting of the pipe!!!

Thanks...I'll check them out. Does this Dual Exhaust kit have the tail pipes on the driver side or do they exit the rear end, under the bumper, with one pipe on each side of the gas tank?

One of my friends has a dual kit from Summit on his truck. I'm not sure if they make it for a blazer ( I imagine they do). He bought a set of hooker headers, the dual exhaust kit (which included all the tubing and all the necessary hangers) and two flowmasters. He said it was fairly easy to install. I think the pipe was 2.25, all mandrel bent of course. You might want to give them a call, because they don't usually list all this stuff in the catalog, due to space limitations.

Hey 84... who have you seen that has those manifold back kits?

I'm looking for a 2 1/2" kit and haven't had much luck. P.A.W. has 2 1/4" true duals for either manifold or headers. About $220 plus mufflers. I know Flowmaster makes cat back versions in 2 different sounds... Summit and Jeg's both carry them.

These kits are 2.25" and not mandrel bent. Jeg's has them. That's where I got mine.

I put a manifold kit on an '84 C10 once. I have the header dual kit on mine. I've got Jet-hot coated Dynomax headers, the 2.25" dual exhaust kit, 12" long glasspacks.

The kits exit on each side behind the rear wheels. I like the side exits, they echo off things better. Just so you know how loud my truck is, it's louder than anything with manifold straight pipes. I love it!

I got the same dynomax kit and I was cheap and bought the summit headers and summit turbo mufflers instead of the dynomax. This resulted in a misalignment and it hit the brake line bracket in the back...so if you go this route go all dynomax. It has more power and sounds like a musclecar, I reccomend the heders!

Mine hit the brake line bracket too becuase my glasspacks are shorter than the recommended mufflers. I just bent it out of the way and tightened the hangers so it didn't rattle off them.
