I am going to replace the exhaust systems on the Burb and the K5.
I have the headers and mufflers picked out but after searching for 2 days I cannot find a decent dual exhaust kit
I was looking at the dyno max stuff at Summit and their dual kit looks realy cheesy.
And the rest of the stuff I seen was for newer vehicles.
Just a simple kit that goes from the header to the rear of the rig is all I am looking for.
Not like the Dynomax though that did not have any bends to clear stuff and right after the collecters it looked like it had some sort of flex tube

I've got the dynomax pipe kit from jegs. Worked fine. The pipes were all prebent and came with all the hardware and hangers-no flex pipe. Used part# 028989004.

I have been at Jegs all morning, they have a much better selection than Summit.
I saw that kit, it looks like it will be the one I get.

The premade kit is only $100. Plus the exhaust shops won't touch my truck without putting the catalytic converters back on. Two cats can get pretty expensive.

I am going to call around tomorrow , but I do believe that for a muffler shop to put in a system you have to have cats or they won't do it.
And the kit i am looking at is $99.
But it is 2 1/4", I would like to have 2 1/2" for the Burb as it has a 454.
For $300 I can get Hedman hedders, Flowmaster 40 series mufflers and the dual kit.

You're right, Kansas doesn't do inspections. About the only good thing about living here.

Depends on the year if you need cats or not. If it had them stock than the shops will want to put them on. I used the flowmaster 40's also but used the Dynomax jethot coated headers because of the warrenty against rust.
