    I think its called redundant ignition or something like that.I have seen it in desert race trucks,2 MSD boxes mounted with in reach of the driver but only one is hooked up.If one takes a dump the driver unplugs the bad one and plugs in the new.

    these would mounted under the hood, and be switched from the cab..i've got to go the speed shop this afternoon i'll ask them...and report back

    I agree with him. I know they do that in racing of all kinds. It's "cheap" insurance. As for a street vehicle though, I can't see where or why you would want it.

    it sounds like a cool idea but i think it would be easier to just cary a spare msd box in whith all the other spare parts.
