How do you copy a DVD to the hard drive? (windows XP if that makes a difference). Dont have a DVD burner just a DVD drive and a CD-rw drive...

You need to find software . Its out there free or for purchase . I have used DVDx before .

You can make a video disc out of a regular CD also , but its no better quality than SVHS tapes .

I can make DVD's , but I still buy movies I like , lots of people behind the scenes need to feed their families too .

I dont know if it will let you put it on the hard drive, but DVD shrink lets you burn dvd's that have the copy protect on them. It is also free.
