I bought a DynoMax welded race muffler in 3" inlet/outlet. Anybody run this muffler? How does it compare to Flowmaster?

They are the straight through kind, I believe... Flowmaster uses baffles. The d-max should sound very good. I have used Magnaflow and they are basically the same thing. A more mellow sound, but straight through performance.

They are nice at idle, little rumble.. Stand on it and they will bark. They are also nice at cruise. Very little resonance.

I run dual Dmax (2 1/2)....they sound just like the man said....quiet at cruise, rumbly when ya stand on 'em....they are straight thru's....I'm sure there are other opinions, but I like 'em.... /forums/images/icons/cool.gif

I run custom dual 3" pipes from the hedders and 2 D-Max 3" turbo somethings, they sound pretty good, and they also have a lifetime warr.

Neil, you might want to check out a muffler called Spintech (sp?). A friend of mine is putting them on his '67 Chevelle w/ a big block. According to the literature that he received, they flow almost double that of Flowmasters . I'm gonna check them out.
