Looks like a 2-ton military vehicle with a crew cab body mounted to it.

So....it must've been a GM 2 1/2 ton rolling chassis, and he put crew cab body on it, with a retarded looking short 'bed' contraption. But a GM 2 1/2 wouldn't have had a 454, so....

    I don't like. Something's fishy.

Does it remind anyone else of the top-secret EM-50 Urban Assault Vehicle from Stripes? Or maybe the Super Family Truckster from Vacation...

it's a HD-version of the TH400, used mostly in motorhomes

I like it, except the rear should really have had a wheelwell cut into it for better looks.

the axles are M135 GMC 2.5 ton axles, not near as desireable as the Rockwells under M35's (less parts available)

I think the reason the pictures look bad is because they are originally larger and shrunk down to the worng size- they're hosted from some other site and shrunk
